Gary M. Broidis, Principal Atlantic Commercial Group, Inc. Boca Raton, Florida gary@atlanticcg.com
Following his tenure at Oppenheimer & Co. as a corporate financial analyst, Gary Broidis began his commercial real estate career in 1991. He was directly responsible for the leasing, management and redevelopment of over 2,500,000 square feet of retail and office properties located in NY, MA, OH, PA, VA and TN. In 1995, Gary co-founded Net Properties Corp., one of the first Real Estate Internet firms which was later sold in 1997 to a major advertising agency in New York City. During these years, Gary was a featured national speaker at national real estate conventions and was a qualified continuing education teacher for real estate licensees at NYU School of Real Estate and was featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC and many other news and real estate publications.
After moving his family to South Florida in 1997, Gary joined the Lefmark Group and was directly involved with the redevelopment of over 20 major retail projects in South Florida including the Kendall Mall, Plaza West, Northridge Shopping Center, Plaza at Delray, Palm Aire Marketplace, Homestead Shopping Center and Lake Park Shopping Center. Gary also redeveloped numerous Kmart stores into Big K’s with over 100,000 square feet of space within each store.
After leaving Lefmark in 1999, Gary was directly involved with the leasing and redevelopment of over 700,000 square feet of retail properties including Boynton Commons, Coral Palm Plaza, Royal Oaks Plaza and Universal Plaza. He has been involved in all aspects of land acquisition and development along with leasing and brokerage activities for retail and office properties. Additional activities include exclusive tenant representation for national and regional retailers.
Gary received his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY at Oneonta and his Masters of Business Administration from SUNY at Binghamton. He founded Atlantic Commercial Group in Boca Raton in 2000 and has since been the recipient of many awards and accolades as well as being ranked as one of the top 20 commercial real estate firms in South Florida.

David S. Lipp joined Atlantic Commercial Group in July 2003 as principal following 12 years as Senior Vice President of Retail Services Group with Grubb & Ellis. David has been an active real estate broker in South Florida for over 20 years and was Grubb & Ellis’s top retail producer nationally in 1996 and South Florida’s top producer in 1994-1996 and 1999.
David specializes in retail site acquisition, leasing and disposition of surplus properties. David has extensive knowledge of land development and retail sales and leasing and has represented many national companies including Office Depot, Levitz, Lurias, Target, Chevron, Walgreen’s, Marriott, KFC, Arby’s, Taco Bell, McDonalds, and numerous developers, investors and others. Currently David’s work is focused on retail site acquisition for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
A graduate of Florida Atlantic University, David holds a Business Degree, California Real Estate License and is a member of ICSC.
Keith Short, Associate

Mr. Short began his real estate career in the early 1970's assisting in the management of family owned rental properties in the Detroit metropolitan area. In 1982 he moved to Florida and took a position with Equity Properties and Development Company, a Sam Zell Company, in the management of its showcase property, The Mall at 163rd Street in North Miami Beach Florida, a one-million square foot regional mall. This property was a turn around project converting an open air mall into an enclosed regional mall and he over saw the daily management and construction supervision. In 1985 Mr. Short joined the Edward J. Debartolo Corporation and was appointed to the management team at Mayfair Shops in the Coconut Grove (Miami) Florida where he was responsible for the daily management of the 350,000 square foot mixed use property which included retail, office and hotel facilities and the coordination of the phase III expansion. In 1987 Mr. Short was appointed General Manager of Westland Mall in Hialeah Florida where he was responsible for the contract management of a 950,000 square foot regional mall for Equitable Life. In 1989 Mr. Short joined Schottenstein Realty Company as head of asset management and leasing for the company portfolio of retail and office properties. He was responsible for the management and leasing operations including coordination of capital improvements and tenant build-out and the supervision of onsite management where required. During his tenure he was also involved in the due diligence and acquisition of approximately one million square feet of commercial property along with coordinating asset disposition for the company.
Mr. Short has built relationships with retailers that target urban ethnic markets and has experience in both leasing and management of these types of properties.
Ira Salk, Associate

Ira Salk has been involved in numerous facets of the real estate industry since 1965.
He is an Architect by profession, who spent most of his years blending his architectural
background with his interests in construction and development. Over the past several
decades he has been responsible for numerous projects that ranged from
Single family residential, Multi-family apartment projects to Shopping Centers,
Medical and Commercial Office complexes to Super Market construction and a
large number of Retail store tenant build outs. He has been involved with the development
of numerous Shopping centers and Office Buildings. Currently he serves on the management
teams of several of these developments.
Mr. Salk became a Licensed Real estate sales associate in the State of Florida and joined
Atlantic Commercial Group in 2006.
Jennifer Elgert

Jennifer joined Atlantic Commercial Group in June 2008 and is responsible for marketing and administrative activities within the company. While pursuing her college degree Jennifer developed fundamental organizational, time management, computer, and communication skills largely in sales by holding leadership positions with major national retailers including Starbucks and Victoria’s Secret as well as working in the field of medical billing. Jennifer also studied art during college and continues to pursue it as a hobby in her spare time. Jennifer graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2006 with a bachelor of arts in media and cultural studies.
